Not to get too into a friendly fest over chars we're playing, but I don't feel too great about having to constantly eat haste, sanc herbs, armor herbs, and such not to get ganked by your necro in 1 round when I want to hang out in an inn. But I do it without posting threads, because it's part of playing a char that wants to not die all the time.

tame a bear, that's what I do.

Nice try, but you don't have to constantly eat haste, sanc and armor herbs to keep from getting inn-ganked by a necro. You stand behind a pet and keep the door closed like how you avoid every other inn-gank. There's no "stand behind a pet" move for voodoo unless you count "being a shaman" or "logging out" as options. Just ask Baldric.

If you don't have the pet behind you, you run the risk of being backstabbed.

I like Voodoo just fine. Leave it alone, make other class' unique spells and skills more powerful and it will help even it out. Don't blunt the sharp knife, sharpen the dull ones!

I'm going to have to agree with Patri, and say Edoras is QQing because his character isn't invincible and zap ethereal doesn't save him from voodoo.

I don't enjoy playing in situations where my character can be instantly killed with no drawbacks except spirit disorientation, and neither does anyone else. I'm sure that you really enjoyed sitting around in the MC HQ as Gemma to avoid getting voodoo-ganked yourself. As I recall your only defense was to give Baldric your loot, die, and then have him log out when he was about to get voodoo'd himself.

Amusing what time will do to someone's recollections.

I agree with Edoras in this thread.

I also stand by my decision not to log in when I have to worry about voodoo.
