there are a LOT of weapons that are steal and iron. Some that look like they should be something good or used to be something good. and when you get it, its tanso with nothing special. case and point is those Large griffons from teron. They have some weapons that look like they are unique, Glaive, flail, think a sword or something. Now put those as mithril or better and bam. This whole threat is fixed.

I think mithril or better work special because they are special. They are special because they are less common than iron and steel. I think that's the whole idea.

screw it ill post what i know so far on here thats mithril or better for weapons.

greatsword mithril
halberd addy radi
bspear or pike addy
cutlass addy
ajatang addy or energy

now i know of only 1 shield thats addy or energy
no armor slots, no ring slots, limited eq and decent weapons. My issue is if you add more weapons there is a better chance that you can get some variety in this game. Changing the items in game already that are tanso to addy or diamond shouldnt be that difficult. I am not asking for more weapons, just a bump to quality weapons. griffons have the natural attack thing down on claws meaning that if you join the cabal they go into and know parry. They can hand block, parry and most likely with parry is dodge to. That hand block thing is no joke when massives dont get the bonus against shield block and parry. So you want less weapons so griffs are stuck with claws or steal stuff. EVERYONE WHO PLAYS A GRIFFON SHOULD JUST GO XXXX, Your char that has no eq slots can now not need weapon slots. Bam talk about PK aint costing the char a damn thing but to [REDACTED] everyone else off.

alright im bumping this because it looks like they took out more weapons. and the griffon sanctum is USELESS for a griffon. Trio? Kama? you cannot use either. Now the Griffon halberds were taken out to? Come on man? do you guys want ALL griffons to go into that 1 cabal or what?

As far as I know, no griffon weapons were removed from the game.

Pretty sure someone already said the diamond makar weapons were removed.

If builders followed the rules, players would not be disappointed in this way. The makaar weapons were removed months ago. No more weapons have been removed.

Yes, what Achernar said. I was responding to the previous post about griffon halberds being taken out now... they have not.

Im talking about the special ones i remember atleast 2 of them, the ones that are adamantite and have a script. I was just curious because i have been running around finding all these weapons thinking with the names they got they gotta be good and it ends up being tanso or cold iron and the effort for those weapons are insane for the material.

I am not sure what point you are attempting to make. The two weapons my mercenary is specialized with (who is not a griffon) mainly come in iron and tanso, with only one limited diamond version available for one of his specializations. There are no material types better than tanso for his other specialization.

This is common for quite a few other weapon types, too. Why exactly should griffons have access to adamantite or diamond when non-griffons usually do not either?
