Having another affiliation with your character adds depth. By all means make one up and play it. Just don't expect the new organization to draw in many people, or for it to long outlast your character's life. Just getting a few people to join you for a while requires strong RP or OOC coordination.
So true it's not even funny. Without powers and abilities, people don't care about a group unless they are RP oriented. For the longest time, people thought joining Inzy met becoming a Harlequin. How aggravating running a PRC is. Pointless, even. People want powers, and create characters with the objective of joining a group with desirable/complimentary skillsets. A PRC is often going to be [REDACTED] out of luck. No channel-talk is a big kick in the [REDACTED].
