The blacksmith's assistant throws a large boulder at you! (52% damage)
A large boulder shatters as it impacts.
The blacksmith's assistant crushes your stomach. ENTRAILS fall to the ground!
That really did HURT!
The blacksmith's assistant pounds the grey wolf's face, slightly bruising her cheek.
The grey wolf bites at the blacksmith's assistant's chest, barely wounding him.
The grey wolf bites at the blacksmith's assistant's left ankle, gashing a small wound.
The grey wolf bites at the blacksmith's assistant's chest, smashing a small but painful, wound.

This is in the Teron Arena.
wow.
Dear Dulrik/Achernar/whoever:
Okay, so this is a feature that 99.9% of the playerbase feels a need to remove or change. I've yet to see any positive feedback come from this other than IMMs saying "hahaha you'll never make it to GM! enjoy getting gank-raped by enemies AND NPCs now!"
So you want lowbie cloth people dependent on pets to get owned because they would get killed in the front row otherwise.
Fine.
Can you at least make it where groups don't throw a billion spears at you each round?
Or where low level NPCs don't toss boulders? Because that seems a bit much, even for NPCs. And if the point is to make the NPCs seem more realistic, wtf are the boulders/daggers/spears coming from in the first place? The rest of us have to go through the process of purchasing them and finding them throughout the realms, and we certainly don't have an endless supply.
But yeah, it's great that you're trying to make the game that much more enjoyable.
I know you won't remove the feature entirely, but I don't understand why you're so unwilling to compromise in regards to NPCs that lowbies generally train with and the amount of damage that can be done by grouped NPCs. This is raping lowbies, and you've probably been sent several logs as proof. Is this really what you want?
