Centaurs are already bards, folks. Despite the fact of not being able to dance without haste.

Let's get back on topic, and focus on getting bards opened up to more races.

Like griffons for example. Not only are there examples of griffons using magical song in contemporary fiction (which, apparently, is important to having them in SK for some reason), but it also makes a huge amount of sense that they would be bards. There's plenty of griffon lore, spread out amongst a lot of different clans, that could be shared between said clans given the individuals with a propoensity for it. "Songbird" griffons are also a perfectly viable concept.

As to dancing griffons, if a horse can dance, a cat sure as hell can too! Cats' movements can be rather hypnotic and the dismally (and inappropriately, imo) CHA of griffons already accounts for the differences in their form of dance. Sprite bards can already dance while using natural flight, and any other race of bard can dance using magical flight, so that part of it is not a strike against griffon bards.
