When I create a character I never have an organization specifically in mind. I have a character with a personality and a set of beliefs. The character then grows and changes depending on what he or she experiences in game. I have been in three separate organizations. Each time, I was sought out by the leaders because of my RP. I have never asked to join. -Aneira

You prove my point exactly Aneira I didn't ask HOW DOES ANEIRA PLAY HER CHAR you've clearly been on this mud for a long time so when you create a new char people oocly know it and that would go some distance into getting you into a cabal, but did I ask for your opinion or for your way of doing things? That's true on any mud, and sadly that's the main reason they're dying out. See when you pay to play garbage like Wow at least you're on even footing with the other players around you ie everyone pays the same and everyone has the same game.

Well I tried to create a new char like three times, but sadly I just can't bring myself to grind out just to deal with these immature kiddies anymore. I mean what's the point? Its just going to keep cycling through the same ol people anyway. And with an aging system wow the same ol people change their name over time. You go OOC IN GAME and you ask someone who has NO [REDACTED] CLUE WHAT THEY'RE TALKING about about how to get into so-and-such cabal. Then, when you don't like that answer (which you shouldn't, because it's wrong) you come here and you ask people OOCLY on the forum. We give you the OOC answer, and you STILL DON'T LIKE IT!

THEN when you are given a hint (common knowledge to most any character in the game, not breaking any violations with IC/OOC line-breaking - - proven by the fact that it wasn't removed) you [REDACTED] that you were being helped.

I don't think you get it. I was changing the subject of this thread from your complaint, to me - trust me, it's a much more interesting topic, and I think that you've just about exhausted your chances of winning this argument (I will tell you right now that these people are quite irritable, and even if you make a beautiful and well reasoned post right now, they'll still just be pissy at you).

It sounds like your complaint was about an out of character discussion. My advice is to simply ignore it and go for the cabal anyway. If they turn you down they turn you down and you can deal with it then, but think about it. If they don't, you get to rub it right in the face of the person who was oocly a bit of a dick. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure that's the best part of SKs.
