You appear to be paying for sheer convenience, but that is certainly valid. Go make friends with a scout and you can probably get arrows for free.

Its an option. Use at one's own risk.

The comment about the arrows is a valid one.

Items that are "commodities" should not be as heavily affected by the price adjustment as other items. That is, items like blank scrolls, empty vials, arrows, etc. that are bought in bulk need to have this price modification adjusted downward in SK's market economy.

On a separate note, why would you EVER use a bard to persuade for arrows when a scroll or a sorceror works so much more effectively? Persuade costs a lot, fails a lot, and is generally unreliable.

Bulk items needs a different level of trade than those that are not bulk. There is 0 reason why an iron bolt should even cost 1 gold let alone 3.

Maybe we could instead address the underlying issue with the lack of readily available items in these categories. I think that there should be ammo readily available in many places. Part of the issue really is imbalance in building practices. More vnums are set aside for elite gear instead of just plain useful stuff that everyone can use. I've always tried to combat this issue. I did just so when someone mentioned the vials the other day. I added more vials. I'll probably end up adding another place to make ammo available.
