A New Beach

A Young Island

~~~b*b~~~ molten lava. The sea is barely kept at bay against the tiny
~~~~bb~~~ island that is growing in its midst. At one point on the island,
~~~~~~~~~ one can look into the depths of the tube from which the lava
seems to have spilled. However, passage into the tube isn't possible
because of the narrow opening. It's partly cloudy, very hot, and very
windy.
Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se volcano
This is the way into the volcano.
A thick-maned lion walks in from the south.

Crater of a Lava Tube
Sunlight streams into the entrance of the old lava tube reflecting and
refracting off the black obsidian which makes up the walls of this tunnel.
The passage way expands towards the exit and the obsidian appears to have
solidified in the form of waves as the magma cooled after the latest
eruption. Light seems to darken further down the shaft and shadows seem to
dance darkly reflected by the rock creating the feeling that one is being
watched. An eerie silence hangs in the air here, sending a chill through
the spine.
Obvious exits: d outside

Clearly not flying there, and able to enter the volcano can we just drop the whole fly and control weather argument now?

If killing the gate target would be a problem, make it a gateable stone or something to solve that QQ. All problems solved.


It would resolve some of the QQ, I don't think it's exactly fair that a single HQ is only accessible by gate either.

I happen to think being able to gate straight to the front door of a HQ is awesome. But thats probably because I'm super lazy.

I was thrilled that the Crucible HQ was set up in Empire territory. It makes a huge difference in pvp and quick-raiding. As of now, the best HQ for PVP is (clearly) the Harlequin HQ.

Their HQ has no problems. It used to - (before I posted about their fly only exit). It doesn't any more.

If it's in Empire territory, it's probably a bug. I've noticed that a lot of the off-continent areas default to Empire territory, but have never gotten around to fixing it. It's due to a bug in the map builder, not because the Empire owns the entire world outside the continent. (The Empire DOES historically control territory to the east of the continent, but not all land everywhere.)

This is what I was mentioning before. Is there any reason that all cabal HQ shouldn't just be independent territory? Crimes commited there - part of a war and not reportable. And no guard NPCs allowed.

I think this is a misunderstanding on your part. What is being referred to here is the wilderness surrounding the HQ, not inside the HQ itself. The interior of every HQ is it's own sovereign territory. What happens inside can't be reported to the judges of any nation. Like any other nation, tribunal guards will follow their leader inside if they are at war with that cabal.

It is possible to gate from a cabal HQ area. The room inside the HQ nearest the wilderness exit always has been open to summons, teleport, gates, rifts, and recall. This makes it totally possible to take tribunal guards into any HQ they are at war with including the Harlequin.
