My feeling is that I've seen very little emnity as in hatred. I can certainly see certain characters refraining from violence, but each race should have strong negative emotions about the other.

Aludran faith (depending on who is handling it) teaches its followers not to speak ill of others, to show compassion to all, etc. Honestly, if an Aludran elf ran around insulting every deep-elf she saw it'd be very deserving of a blemish.
Why would an elf see a deep-elf as a person, rather than an abomination like the undead?
Granted, different elves/deep-elves should have different ways of intellectualizing their emnity. It's also true that religion can overrule strong feelings in the right character, although such major internal conflict should have visible results. But emnity is more than not being friendly, even for pacifist-style players. PK isn't required, but real character conflict is.
