Swashbucklers used to get whip. As a matter of fact the diamond whip from the old seaside was awesome in their hands (this was before sub types)

Remove shield block from barbs, see where that goes =P, could probably also remove enhanced parry from mercenaries.

Delf swashies can hit 25 str under certain circumstances dictated by them being in a certain one of the 4 or so groups available to them.

Why are we bringing cabals, and tribunals into the equation? This is a discussion about swashbucklers, not cabal abilities. If you require cabal abilities for your character to be playable, then the character is just a straight up failure to begin with, and has no merits of his own.

Deep-elf swashbuckler is great, especially for the higher int that you'll end up with.

I honestly am not sure. One of the proposed fixes by Dulrik on the forums was that spellcasting was slower when flying -- you can obviously just test that.

It's not in yet.

Okay good. I'd have roffled if it was. Anyway, since that fly change isn't in yet, I think we all need to chill out on the subject of swashbucklers.
