Should just let them cry and theorycraft the worst possible case scenarios as naturally such scenarios always occur!
Yeah, you're right, Chem.
This is the part that drives me crazy. I'm not theorycrafting. You are.
Wudan is actively walking around ethereal / invis in "enemy territory" and summoning people into large groups of NPCs while attempting to dispel their buffs, and the common consensus (though unprovable) is that he's the one on the reporting streak. And there's not a thing anyone can do about it, because he's in a complete MR suit. That means he's:
a) immune to dispel,
b) immune to all other cast spells (in case another sorc / priest decided to give chase),
c) immune to any form of magical weaponry(!),
d) immune to voodoo(!!).
The -only- way to actually fight said player now is with your hypothetical adventurer that can whip out an etherealform scroll and the necessary buffs to beat a fist 1v1 in the ethereal plane (and that's assuming that he doesn't decide to just sleep / dispel you back out). But we've seen Wudan. We haven't seen a single one of these theorycrafted rogues.
Right now -- and I know there are fixes on the way -- MR is ridiculously overpowering. Coupled with sorcs no longer being fatigued by self-cast haste / giant strength and the fact that this particular sorc can achieve six very strong attacks per round with a decent defensive stance, and you're looking at an impossibly difficult character build to counter. I agree with patrisaurus because he's right, whether he intended to be tongue in cheek or not -- we have gone off the deep end.
