What do you think of this idea?

How about a non-lethal spell.

Magical lock- The sorcerer has the ability to lock or unlock various chests and doors for as long as they can hold concentration.
Magical lock would not be able to unlock certain chests or reinforced doors that require special keys etc.

No Jreid, sorcs are already the hoard class. This would just enforce the concept of them being hoarders.

Lock yourself in a place full of doors. Sure, a rogue/eth person(maybe)/bard could get to you, but that just reduces the amount of people who CAN get to you.
