The topic of dual membership has always rubbed me badly, mainly for this very reason:

I don't think that trusting the player-base to police themselves is a good idea, and I think that cabals and tribunals provide enough strength right now as-is. Dual membership just seems like it would open up the floodgates for a new kind of twink that SK has no need of. At most, we might need to combine some tribunals and cabals again, but I really think dual-membership will kill the game because of the additional temptation to roll twinks it would usher in.

Eh....I'd rather not see a person be able to join the Cabal from one kingdom and the Tribunial from another. Hard to stay loyal to the keepers if I was a druid and had to deal with griffons in the keepers with me...
But, like Archie said, it'd likely be prevented by the players.

Twinks already are part of the game and take anything they can. I'm not sure if I am personally for or against the twink mindset. Its one of the methods, I guess.

So, when I played here before I was told I couldn't have more than one character in a cabal/tribunal. Is that rule still in force?

Hah. I'm a moron. I thought what was being suggested all this time was two characters, two factions, one player. Well, shows the depth of my attention span, doesn't it? This idea isn't as bad, but I am still against it. I'm worried that people having trouble enough already getting into cabals and tribunals, will just find it harder.

Are you serious? I've only been here for two weeks and I've already been invited into a trib and a cabal.

edit: Haven't joined either yet though...

Who's having trouble? If you are capable of Rp'n said character towards their goals, I haven't seen hardly anyone get denied, especially in tribunals, they do not have enough support to deni for no strong reason. Some cabals are just tougher than others, requiring more time put in, but if you don't give up within just a few days, im sure you'll do just fine. :P

It was hard for a lot of people two, three years ago. *shrug* Don't know about now in desperate numbers time. I didn't figure it was going to stay like this.

I've seen people turned down often enough in the few years I've been playing. Maybe I just saw more of the minority than other people did. I don't know.

Since when are cabals (besides Midnight) tied to any one kingdom? It doesn't say so in help cabal, and the only references I see to possible kingdom ties are in some of the individual help files about general location. To me, this does not mean you have to be from the Ayamao to join Druids. Why couldn't someone from the Northern Wastes hold to the same ideals? Doesn't that country have some wild lands? Aren't snow and winter part of a natural cycle of seasons?
