Actually, the only person that brought it up was you, and no one else really seems to care. If the IMMs decide that EQ-passing in jail is illegal, I'll be okay with that. I honestly think it's fine: It's also off-topic.

Kind of like how nobody except you cares about seance.

Actually, let me correct myself. Everybody flatout disagreed with you for the most part.

And yeah, the Devil is a totes persuasive guy, you know.

I don't see how you as a player can find eq-passing in jail where there'd be a jailer watching you is okay, but summoning a spirit after you kill them is OMG UNALLOWED.

Honestly, the seancing thing makes a hell of a lot more sense.

Yeah, I was surprised about that honestly. I probably should have worded the poll "Is it okay to use seance to prevent people from getting resurrected?" instead of it's current form, but eh. Word got out either way.

Edoras. How dim-witted are you?

Using it to prevent people from getting rezzed does not require a voodoo. Seance is a light conc spell that drains like no mana.

I could just seance everybody I gank normally, and hold them there until I log off or something. That would be griefing and an abuse of the spell, yes. Casting it for 10 minutes and RPing with them while they lose their loot? Not abusing the spell. Does it suck to be them? Sure.

Again, as has been pointed out by others, your problem is you are terrified of the voodoo, and trying to nitpick at it without actually picking at Voodoo.

I would like to pop in and point out that I am terrified of voodoo as well.

But only if four shamans use it at once.

Aside from voodoo being exceptionally lame, I don't really have too much of a problem with voodoo because there are countermeasures to it. I do, however, have a problem with my character, or anyone, being voodoo'd and then kept from resurrection while some tool goes off to grab the victim's stuff and/or kill whoever the victim was traveling with because they decided to stay logged in even though they didn't have any capable allies at the time.

And yes, I'm aware that seance can be used on anyone. I am also aware of the obvious fact that the only reason you would use seance to keep someone from grabbing their loot back would be in the case of a voodoo kill, because every other method of PK requires you to have actually killed them while near them. Voodoo+seance allows you to just voodoo someone then seance them for however long it takes to locate+grab their corpse, regardless of where it is, and I think that's the complete opposite intention of the spell.

If you die from a voodoo without a doll, you should be looted immediatly anyway. With a doll, well sucks to be you for dying to someone and losing a body part to begin with. its just loot, go find some more stuff elsewhere to hoarde.

If I was the victim of constant voodoo (which I have been, three shaman at a time and that weaksauce just bounced off my manly pectorals...pff..dying to voodoo is silly...but for argument's sake let's pretend I could BE so lame as to die to voodo) and someone was seancing my spirit so that their buddies could find my body and loot it, I sure wouldn't rp with the shaman to stop voodooing me.

I'd rp with someone ELSE and make friends with THEM so they could loot my corpse and hold it for me until I got a rez. I mean, how hard is it to ask someone "hey buddy, I'm dead in the inn again. How about you swing on over there and grab my lewtz real quick"?

And if I didn't HAVE any friends on at the time...oh yeah, I'd go rp with some people on that who list and make friends of those that are on so they either grab my loot or as a VERY VERY VERY VERY last resort...I'd figure out how to make that shaman not so mad at me.

Please stop the loot qq.

Cannibal, that's a great plan, but most of the time nowadays there isn't anyone with the ability to go and get your loot for you without taking 20 minutes to do so, whether you know them or not; And if there were, then you wouldn't be getting voodoo/seanced.

That's not even considering the fact that the three shaman were unable to kill you with a multi-voodoo had to be completely incompetent.

Then my next question is the obvious one...how the heck are you letting yourself be killed by voodoo? Don't you know how to not die to that silly spell?

Any shaman with the right EQ can drop a non-magically resistant race through voodoo from 100%, except for barbarians and mercenaries.

The fact that there were three shaman who failed to kill you with multi-voodoo is a testament to their incompetence more than your awesomeness. They were probably mostly griffons or something.
