I did read your example, I'm simply pointing out that every ability now and then has an example that's simply way out of the blue, it's certainly not the norm, nor is it common.
[REDACTED] happens, every now and then SK will just really screw you over with that random number generator. You can't wimp everything simply because one time out of a thousand something went horribly wrong.
EDIT: If we really want to nerf something here, let's nerf abilities that can -consistently- kill -any- low HP class like Voodoo, no matter what enchants you have. Eisenvahl's gear was just as well enchanted as your example 12+ enchants on each piece, and he could still be dropped by a high mana voodoo. I'd be all for getting rid of that. I just don't think BoG is the huge problem people make it out to be.
I played Sorrinius for quite a while, and honestly the nimbus only ever hit people who didn't bother enchanting there gear adequately. I fought plenty of deep-elves like my example with Sarukayn who simply laughed and ran away.
