Think. Which is the only other melee class that cannot access a flying, store-bought mount when using its primary skill? Yep, scouts. If this also applies to their pets, then that's 2x damage reduction for the class.

Does the restriction on 'secret abilities' extend to charmed orders or is it just leadership ordering that is affected.

You could make the case that this wimps all melee classes, not just scouts.

Nothing stops a scout from ordering a pet to land for combat. They'd only theoretically need flight to move about, but when they're ready to pounce they just give the order and the pet (and scout) are back to full damage.

I'd be more concerned about all those trips out over the plane of air on the way to the Temple of Murder now. Flying mounts for the win...

I can't think of a (herbalism) bless herb. Though I consider it a bit ooc for herbs to grant bless it could be a fix for the scouts and their pets at the same time.

Oh, definitely. Was just comparing direct disadvantages.

When I did a bit of research for the contents of a certain scout book, I never came across a bless herb. If it's out there, I am completely unaware of it. That being said, I don't really see the need for one.

Barbs and scouts got a big buff actually. Now people will actually walk and they can be tracked down.

Yeah, I'm actually glad they made the flight change. It was very annoying having flying mercs/barbs behind pets immune to bash and trip. Now at least they'll lose some damage if they want to do that. True it also nerfed scouts, but scouts also get a much beefier tank than a store bought pet, and they can spell it up, sanc/prot/shield/gs/haste/frenzy/etc... to be quite powerful as is.
