More than that doesn't really add to the fun of the game.

Said characters are the ones who decide to become criminals, specially knowing what'll happen when they get caught. If they are not having any fun cause of their outlaw list then perhaps they should try RPing more and stop PKing?

I get so tired of that [Rules Violation Removed] argument.

Some characters are criminals. Stealing and committing crimes is their RP. Why can't people differentiate between the characters and the players behind them? Chesus Jrist.

Cause the imagination of the playerbase for some reason is dwindling with the numbers.

Yes, some characters are criminals. And just as stealing and committing crimes is their RP, so is the occasional jail visit.

If you're looking to change jail to more of an IC punishment and less of an OOC one, I think Alshain's suggestion is good. Items can't be standardized enough for fines, but coins can. The only restriction I think is necessary is forbidding high murder to be paid off. If your chosen RP demands you kill someone, it's only fair you share in the OOC bad consequences.

If instead you're looking to make the jail system a slap on the wrist, that's not a game I want to play. Socializing, especially between enemies, requires a stout law system.
