What do you think about this proposal to enchant armor?

I would really like this or something very similar. 55%  55%  [ 18 ]
I like the idea, but it needs important tweaks: I've posted them below. 6%  6%  [ 2 ]
I don't like enchant armor, but I also don't like your idea. 15%  15%  [ 5 ]
I like enchant armor the way it is. 18%  18%  [ 6 ]
I couldn't care less either way. 6%  6%  [ 2 ]

I know that when the enchanter's ME is under 50%, the chance of success is lower, but is that at time of concentration? Or at time of casting?

Quick fix: reduce the amount of mana it costs to enchant/ and time to cast the spell. The current cap on non-hostile xp would keep it from being absued.

I agree with the Edoras logic behind this idea and also understand his frustration towards some posters. They clearly miss his point.

In my last effort to return to the game, a really old player also joined up. He tried a sorc and then enchanting began...

In 30 hours of unstoppable enchanting within 3-4 days, he couldn't place more than 3-4 enchants on lvl 40++ items. Items obtained from all around the realms, some of them 50 lvl...Exploded at 2nd enchantment, faded etc etc.

Seriously, this is ridiculous. +Since I don't believe in bad luck when it comes to so many consecutive tries, this should be looked at.

When the PvP part of the game sets the standards so high, there should also be a reasonable way to get there.

My opinion stands where the 'enchanting process' is a huge inconvenience in gameplay. It hides behind 'randomness" and we all accept due to habbit or for whatever reason each one chooses to.

There should be rules that items follow based on material,level etc. Randomness should be used to avoid predictability of the general rule...
In this case we have randomness as THE rule.

Enchant is honestly fine as far as mana/time. The only problem is the randomness, IMO.

Then again I have 10 mana trains and only spend 10% a cast, and tend to get 40%+ back if I'm sleeping.
