It's not as if the majority of the doors to the houses etc aren't pickable or bashable, so hoarding really isn't an issue as long as that remains.

I remember reading somewhere that the only rooms that were ever regarded as 'secured' nowadays were Cabal HQs. Everything else is designed to be compromised in some way, shape, or form.

Only if one lets you in, afaik.

Rogues hide in there all the time.

I dunno if they ever fixed it, but the Northern Wastes KD added like a HQ for the Black Hand. And it was flagged as part of the newbie area, so nobody could get to it unless you were a newbie, or mentor+ and from the Wastes.

If someone can let you in, that's not quite as bad (mercenary guild is like this too). I was under the impression you couldn't even be let in if you weren't a rogue.

There are a number of "quest pre-requisite" rooms that have similar guardians.

I'm sure they're all used at some point or another to hide in.

The merc/thieves guild are honestly more secure than Cabal HQs in some ways.

All it takes to get into a cabal HQ is two well prepped PCs. As far as I know, you /can not/ get into those guilds without a character of that class who is your buddy.

Yeah, I'd like to see fewer hidey holes and more ways to find people (scrying, etc.) given the size of the SK world and the fact that often you can't find a single person (either to PK or just to interact with in general).
