Finney's idea to allow you to decrease your age/increase your maximum age is interesting, but is a bit counter-intuitive, since that character you've played for a long, long time and probably earned you a lot of LT isn't eligible to use them.
I think only being able to spend loyalty tokens on future characters is the counter intuitive part of the equation - I had forgotten about that when I posted my idea. Wouldn't it be better for the health of the game to encourage people to play long-lived characters than to offer benefits on new characters via loyalty tokens?
Only way that seems possible is to allow loyalty tokens to be spent by the character that earns them. Otherwise, it encourages players to create new characters to benefit from the tokens earned by their current character.
