Quests to accompany leveling is fun. These ideas are fast turning SK into WoW! Here's hoping the drop rates aren't as bad as the troll ears in Stranglethorn Vale. I am not sure if it's good or bad yet. Maybe a working formula is a working formula?
Quests also need to promote SK Kingdoms Culture in order to give players a sense of purpose, and a theme to work on for various roleplay purposes. For example, similar to the drill instructor's attitude in Kytar, the immediate impression is that Empire = militaristic.
Empire can also promote more order, militaristic and with a mind of expansion by slavery and punitive measures. Quests can allow a player to go stun and capture slaves. Whereas the Taslamarans on the other hand would be given the same quests to free them.
Obviously for a player character to help one side, they cannot go ahead and perform the quests for the other. Uxmal would have its own theme, rugged, not caring, random, etc., Zhenshi would have its own them, and Ayamao.
