If you could gank a relic with equal numbers of defenders to attackers, why the crap would you care about having an HP buff after the fact? What are you going to do with the extra HP, gank their inner guardian again? Whoop dee doo.

That's like introducing a reward for having a large number of players online that makes resurrection nigh instant, free, and require no RP.

Its the extended duration that I think matters in this instance. Up to a week is quite a while in the game.
