To make it in more theme with what blitzkreig stands for. How about changing the skill so that your next round of attacks can hit any single person in the group?

I remember my merc in the Harlies used it all the time. Once, I babbled this bard and his friend, then I was WTFPWNing both of them at once but then an invisible sorc petrified me. Meh. I love the skill though.

I like blitzkrieg. I always thought it made more sense for a swashbuckler, but I like the skill, even if it isn't the #1 top skill to use in PvP. There are a lot of skills that are fun or interesting in other settings or that require special PvP situations to use effectively. They provide interesting variety in the game. I consider it similar to earthquake- a lot of fun even if I don't really use it in PK.

Edit: While I like the skill, I do think that it should target not just the people who are targetting the merc, but also the entire front row of any group with whom the merc is engaged in combat.

Blitz should hit the group formation you are attacking, all foes in reach making it useful if your not in a situation where you are about to die. Or Bliz should have a trip attempt stacked on it. Trip is not all that useful in solo PK but in group combat trip can become a useful skill if tactics have been used before the groups clash.

For all those who want a swashbuckler to have blitz they have something much better already its called riposte. It attacks all people who are attacking the swashbuckler and not only that it counts the damage that their attacks might have done.

As far as Barbs are concerned I have long thought a barb should get a heavy lag skill to break into formations of their foes. Wild Rush <target>, granting the barb one addition rank of reach for a 2 rounds but effecting themselves with bash lag (and extra damage if its still around).

Swashbucklers still could use a boost. Blitz makes the most sense for them, due to that fact. They are a class designed to tank multiple foes at once, they have abilities to hit multiple foes at once, and they are the only class which can actually force opponents to target them, which is a pre-requisit of blitzkreig. I don't understand why they aren't the obvious choice for the skill.
