Attacking your own tribunal guards has been illegal the entire time I've played SK. I don't know where you all have been.

I seem to recall I took big exception to whoever the nameless IMM was making the accusations towards me.

Said IMM told me I could lose my leadership flags if I gave any other PCs permission to attack the guards to make the warders drop etherealform and invis. When infact, both I and the other leader, said group with them and go find a battle. Never said GO HIT THEM.

So for the last 3+ years, attacking your own tribunal guards hasn't been a valid option.

How else would you break into a jail?

Leaders can pardon the criminal, be standing at the release point, beat the hell out of the criminal, kill him, loot and junk his stuff.

I'm saying I never GAVE an order to attack the guards. I'm saying it has been illegal to attack your own guards the whole time.

At times you really have no choice, like when one of your allies is getting arrested because pardon doesn't stop already attacking NPCs.

Its a tricky system to code altogether, I imagine.

I'm still waiting for an answer on DA's question, however. Is this officially against some unwritten rule? I usually find that the words of any one imm = the rules, but there seems to be a split here.

Welcome to my world. I frequently get punished for violating unwritten rules. It's interesting to see so many people cry about it, who also cry about it when I break "the spirit" (whatever that is) of the game.

Oh, that said, as far as I am aware calling someone a [REDACTED] IC is a breach of the ToS of the mud. How do I know this? Testcase of sklz playing Sulok, he wasn't allowed to call people [REDACTED] or he'd get deleted.

Precedent demands that the character Faer is deleted.

Edit: Yes, I did use the word [REDACTED] just now, but it's not a breach of the ToS because I am not using it in a derogatory manner.

Yet.

Already stated. Serving time is allowable. Killing your own tribunal NPCs is not.

I do believe it says bad RP will be punished somewhere in the rules.

I've already responded twice. I'm sure that turning yourself in to serve a sentence for a crime is completely valid and not against any rules. It may be bad roleplay in how it is handled, but provided its the slightest bit IC, there's nothing wrong with it. That's not my gut feeling, but for fairness reasons, that's how it is. Killing someone in jail who is attempting to serve a sentence is definitely against the rules. I don't know what I need to do to say that as a member or leader of a tribunal, you are not the law. You answer to the rulers of the kingdom and purposefully attacking your judge or guards is grounds for tarnishment or uninduction from your tribunal. Allowing someone to attack your judge is complicit behavior and should be construed as such.

I still disagree, I think it should be a case-by-case thing, espically if someone is taunting me while sitting in my jails.

Killing your own law NPCs? fine, make it able to darkies(like lighties) to get the key to their jail cells.

Surely you can think of an in-theme response or threat that wouldn't require killing the NPCs that Achernar is talking about?
