They are unbalanced.

I like them a bit unbalanced. It provides a wild card in SK, without which the mud would be more boring.

If the next Gussow wants to spend 2 real life hours in creating and equipping 50 wraiths and zombies, then more power to him! It makes the mud more colorful. Know what is cool? If Gussow was ethereal and had that army rolling up on another cabal HQ, one lone Sorc could have walked out in the ether and dueled him in another dimension. If he left the ether, then arrows from the defenders could zero in on him.

I think that any class that invests thought and preparation work can own any other class. What next, will you limit the Sorc from using multiple charm scrolls? He can own anyone with an equipped Yefeng, Bill, and Waish...
Or would you remove the scout's ability to ensnare and ambush? The Rogue's back stab? The swan's martial arts?

That's fine, but he's not allowed to ally with Peso and Mordy and take all my cool stuff.

Peace,
Bux

Adding a ranged spell wouldnt be too bad. Nothing as powerful as a bolt of glory, but maybe something with 1-2 room/league range. Bolt of Death.

Bolt of death hurls a wave of negative energy towards your opponent, cursing them with Plague and Curse. Half the damage of a BoG. Elves, and Paladins would be extra sensitive to the spell. Just an Idea.

Bone Spirit, bolt of death or any other name you could think of. This could be one of the steps to evening out things.

Based on some player feedback, I tweaked the concentration numbers again yesterday for animate, control and finger of death. All beneficially to the necromancer.

Control undead has never really been much of a concentration problem, just a mana loss problem. I don't know whether that's good or bad, but concentration is sort of peripheral.

I knew if you whine hard enough Dulrik fixes things!

No, really, I'm sorry I press so hard on this, D, but I don't want to see the necromancer class fade away from being feared and hated and turned into little more than a joke.

Most people would be surprised to know a hellion can down a necromancer with little trouble.

My tweaks were not motivated by any whining in this thread. They were made based on careful analysis supported by logs that was submitted by a necromancer that I had asked to perform tests.
