That is so a warlock spell b33otch. Get me some of the power word spells up in here. Or maybe a prismatic wall/sphere. |

Get me some of the power word spells up in here. Or maybe a prismatic wall/sphere. Just dig through a DnD spell manual, good [REDACTED] in there. But in terms of comparing spells between game, Frost Shock is the Final Strike in WoW. |

Don't have a dnd spell manual. What, exactly, is frost shock? |

And... this is not WoW. As for DnD, I have the DnD, Advanced DnD, 2nd ed of Advanced DnD, skills and powers, and 3rd ed ADnD and other spellbook compendiums, so I'm a wee bit versed on different created spells. But, this is not WoW and if it was, Frost Shock would be for warlocks and Sorcs would get prismatic spray. Rawr. Quote: Prismatic Spray
Evocation Level: Sor/Wiz 7 Component: V,S Casting Time: 1 action Range: Close (25 ft + 5 ft/ 2levels) Area: Cone Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: See Text Spell Resistance: Yes This spell causes seven shimmering intertwinced, multicolored beams of light to spray from your hand. Each beam has a different power. Creatures in the area of the spell with 8 HD or less are automatically blinded (see blindness/deafness) for 2d4 rounds. All createsure in the area are randomly struck by one or more beams, which have additional effects. 1d8 Colour of Beam Effect 1 Red 20 points fire damage (Reflex half) 2 Orange 40 points acid damage (Reflex half) 3 Yellow 80 points electricity damage (Reflex half) 4 Green Poison (Kills; Fortitude partial, take 20 damage instead) 5 Blue Turned to stone (Fortitude negates) 6 Indigo Insane, as insanity spell (Will negates) 7 Violet Sent to another plane (Will negates) 8 Struck by two rays, roll again twice ignoring all 8s rolled. Have it cost as much as petrify if not a little more and a similar casting time, and put feeblemind instead of insane, pure damage instead of kill for poison, and random teleport instead of sent to another plane. That and up the damage to make it comparable to other damaging master level spells, and I think you have a winner! *edit* Alea, it's not in my copy of 3rd ed player handbook, the rest of my books are in storage. |

Realistically, a spell that worked the same as final strike but instead of doing massive damage to everyone in the room just tried to petrify everyone else would be far more viable and would receive far, far fewer complaints. |

How about a spell that after it's cast, ensures the caster will blow up in a firey death when he dies and do a massive amount of damage to his killer and his party/all those around the killer. Not something that the sorcer could kill a whole bunch of people without it being his last resort. It could be a non I win spell that still causes fear amoungst non sorcers, especially if the damage cuts through any reistances and everyone is vunrable to the damage. Maybe it does the amount of hitpoints of damage of the sorcer has when healthy. If that isn't enough, it blows a small explosion difficult to avoid, and then the next round or couple a few more small explosions go off. This way the opponents have a chance to run away and avoid the aftershocks. It could be the final prismatic strike, or maybe this big crevice in the earth opens up and divine tendrils pull charectors toward a final doom. |

I kinda like that concept Xain. It would work as a protective field(Doesn't actually protect against anything but that is alright), it would be a moderate upkeep spell and if the wizard dies to something the spell is triggered and does massive damage to the one that killed him. Call it Final Retribution. It would have the same negatives as Final Strike(needing an imm to allow you get back to life), but it would not mean the end of the party that is with the wiz. |
