As stated in the dwarf/centaur helly post(which i support the dwarf part) the lighties have an extra race, and this race is pretty brutal. High stats pretty much all around but not much in the way of eq. Why not balance it out with a felgryph/wyvern deal? Nearly(if not) the same stats except maybe more physical or more mental with the same class options? I think it would be a nice balancing touch as well as provide for some rad rp styles (elves have delves, why not let grifs get fgrifs). :drunk:

Griffons despite having extra high stats and everything are still very weak to magic. This is because since they cannot wear items in most of their body slots, these items are commonly enchanted with the purpose of getting MP.

Back to you question though, I would love to see another race (darkie) and another lightie class though.

Darkies get 1 Race and 2 Classes.
Lighties get 2 Races and 1 Class

Which you could argue brings balance.

I can't see wyverns ever becoming a player race but maybe a Makaar could work.

Makaar - which are known as felgryfs in SK - are not intelligent enough to be a PC race, according to our lore. Also, having evil griffons just dilutes the original race. If we're going to get a new race, let's get something new and exciting.

There's lots of other races I'd prefer to see over the wyvern.

I just get a bad feel from the idea. I don't know much about game mechanics or balance. But it just sounds, well, cheesy.

BAD idea. Wyverns? Pff. I would NEVER play a Wyvern.

If we really need a race, try something like a minotaur. And if we need a new class, make an empath.

Wyverns. Yeah, right.

Minotaur that can't wear anything around neck or on head or on legs or feet.

Which minotaur are you referring to?

Originally, IE greek mythology, minotaurs were large humans with the head of a bull. They are often confused with satyrs in stories, and given the legs and hooves of a cow.

I'm curious as to how this would preclude them from wearing anything in their neck slot, and depending on which version you go with, horseshoes would still be viable footwear, and there are already minotaur noserings in game to be worn in the head slot.

Boo wyverns.

Yay minotaurs, or something different (kobolds?). I'd never play a wyvern, either.
