Is it me, or does the priest spell of Flamestrike suck.

I mean, my little priest is Omniscient, and the damn spell still takes 5% mana to cast, and does squat damage. That is, IF it hits.

Does it get better with level? That is, to the point of being relevant?

Flamestrike is a group-affect spell which makes it incredibly useful for lowbie training.

That is all.

It isn't very damaging but it does affect groups and it is ranged. At GM I used to to kill certain things because harm would take more mana to kill them.

It does very little damage on those who take the time to enchant their equipment. However, it is still an amazingly useful tool for fending off attackers of your cabal HQ and others things of that sort.

True. The only gripe that I can think of having about flamestrike is that it takes a good deal of mana, but with the casting time, the group affect capability, and the fact that it's the only ranged spell priests have, it's fine the way it is, a buff would make it overly useful.

Flamestrike is working pretty well for my lowbie preists so far. The mana cost is a little high, but as it has been said it has many other benefits.
