In a nutshell, Ghent died, came back, was at superg on all his spells. Just today hit 90.. no clue what was doing it and of course Will has to make me look like a jackass.

=============================================

Okay, I've had these all mastered for over a year IRL:

Code:
spell

Amateur   - armor               (superb)      change sex          (superb)
detect buried       (superb)      detect magic        (superb)
            magic missile       (superb)      ventriloquate       (superb)
Novice    - color spray         (superb)      continual light     (superb)
detect hidden       (superb)      detect invis        (superb)
            fly                 (superb)      invis               (superb)
Initiate  - enlarge             (superb)      giant strength      (superb)
            identify            (superb)      infravision         (superb)
            shrink              (superb)      sleep               (superb)
Apprentice- acid blast          (superb)      cancellation        (superb)
            mirror image        (superb)      shield              (superb)
            teleport            (superb)      understand          (superb)
Journeyman- airy water          (superb)      charm person        (superb)
            dispel magic        (superb)      etherealform        (superb)
            haste               (superb)      tongues             (superb)
Veteran   - locate object       (superb)      mass invis          (superb)
            polymorph           (superb)      summon              (superb)
Expert    - detect aura         (superb)      enchant armor       (superb)
            enchant weapon      (superb)      recharge            (superb)
Mentor    - depetrification     (superb)      gate                (superb)
            petrification       (superb)      spell ward          (superb)
Master    - final strike        (very good)

Since when did spirit disorientation reduce your abilities to cast spells? Ghent doesn't die that often, so maybe it's been that way a while and I just haven't noticed.

Code:
aff

I am naked when I checked, so I it's not like I'm wearing something that is doing it.

I can just think about the lowbie caster who dies 4 times in a row all a sudden forced to sit for two hours to wait out their SD before they can do *anything*.

I didn't think this was until tomorrow, and... I didn't know your spells dropped a skill level when it happened either.

They don't, noob.

Check what you're wearing for light/heavy armor.

Like something made of ice.

I'm not sure if it has been fixed yet but there is an item that you can wear that is considered heavy armor, but when you remove it, it does not return your skills back to normal unless you log out.

After my death, the first thing I did was get my hero amulet and I noticed right after that it changed, hence me first thinking it was to SD since I die so infrequently.

None of my lewt changed from the past month or two, so it's not am item.
