It was mentioned in the wishlist, i find it a marvelous idea, (I was thinking about it as well) though trying to think of all the available races and their descriptions while undead would mean a great amount of work so, I propose something like flesh-crafting for the races that are not too common. (lizardmen, C'thonians etc) Flesh Golem, or even the old undead types. That would mean a lot of work for D, especially if he decides to allow the new undead some of their old body's vulnerabilities and powers. As we move along players might come up with ideas or descriptions about the rarer races as well, completing the set.

P.S. A sprite zombie is here.

I don't care. I'll totally do it.

This is something I've wanted to see for ages - it's just the first time I've bothered to say so out loud.

I voted yes *but* I don't know if the actual race abilities/strengths/weaknesses should apply, just the description and action line. Undead are, after all, no longer what they were, they just retain the general form of what they were.

As I've suggested a long time ago, a variation in their descs could of been a nice change. This sounds even more tempting.

That's the spirit! I am sure that many players will volunteer for that kind of work (myself included)

I totally volunteer. Strengths/weaknesses would be great, but if that's too much to ask for right now, I'll settle for descriptions.

Keep the undead race, as the spell and class were designed for that race.

Change (Short/Long) descriptions only.

Absolutely. A zombie is a zombie, a wraith is a wraith. Undead is undead is undead.

Though besides that, it is a terrific suggestion and something I'd love to see.

The wraith of a snottling is here, eyes glowing with malice.
The snottling wraith bites you!

It would also bring with it a small technical advantage for the necromancer. When animating and equiping a swath of different corpse sizes it would be easy to track which undead was which. Especially if the race type was appended to the undead's name field... Though that could be interestesting.

A lean male elf is here.
> o all bash elf
A centaur wight bashes an elven zombie!
An elven zombie's armour protects it from any falling damage!
A sprite wight bashes an elven zombie!
An elven zombie's armour protects it from any falling damage!
A snottling wraith bashes an elven zombie!
An elven zombie is knocked to the ground!

S'why adjectives would be superior to races for keyword selections.

I have to say that I have pretty much never used race in pk as the targetting command, there's way more chance of same race issues than of people having the same adj, and adj you notice more.
