This spell needs to be offered by the town healer.

It's a cabal spell. Anyway, I'm only suggesting since a good number of training areas for newbs require either infravision, or glowy items. Humans don't get infravision unless they're a certain class, so there's people who can't explore training areas because they can't see.

Not really, no. They prevent you from using two handed weapons or shields. I don't think healers should cast the spell though. One of the newbie shops in each starting area should sell a wearable light that goes into a treasure slot. Or maybe give one out as a quest reward.

Actually...

Darkness would be a cool spell. Make it kind of like the cabal spell, only underpowered, so that the darkness can be seen through via infravision etc.

I was thinking he meant to make an item cease glowing.

I have mixed feelings about that one.

its pretty much a useless spell if it only knocks out continual light...make a lot more sense to add it to the ability of dispel magic. Just target an item with dispel and it removes continual light.

or just go by the darkness scroll

Darkness scrolls aren't easy to come buy unless your friends with a certain class...I think that Darkness should be a spell learnt at the same time as continual light, for the classes that have them....just makes sense to me...
