All right. I fail to understand how roads are a 'natural' setting, since they are man-made.

Whenever I walk outside of Nerina or outside teron, I can be just a room away from the gates and I'll be caught in a road-side snare. If scouts are about the wilderness, then why are they able to do this on roads? That is my question. I can just see how someone could really do some serious damage if they wanted to by putting snares on roads. I remember when I was a first-time player, I got caught in one of these on the road that follows to Halgeir and literally started freaking out, thinking I was going to be stuck there forever.

I'm just curious with what everyone else thinks, and perhaps someone could give me insight as to WHY its possible.

The roads aren't superhighways, Kilia. A lot of the time they're just cobbled paths (if not dirt tracks), and right nearby there's untamed wilderness.

Yes, but they're STILL considered a part of man-made areas. If wilderness is nearby, then why can't scouts just be confined to it?

Probably because it'd render the skill useless, and it's not too hard to believe that a trap of some kind can be manufactured outside the cities (ie: the wilderness, which roads are indeed a part of, despite being man made).

While I walked from Nerina to Teron just now, I got snared seven times. Some [REDACTED] scout is having fun it seems.

I would hate for some [REDACTED] scout to ruin the skill for everyone else that plays the class.

Edit: I said what I meant, and I meant what I said.

It would make since if you could do roads and portal stones also, I mean come on, snareing a road is good fun espesaly if you catch someone or something you want to kill, I think most of the time people do it just to do it.

What's really annoying, is when people wander round heavily travveled areas and spam train it right where it will annoy the most people.

I'd still like to see some classes gain the skills to find and disable snares, especially now with the serious abundance of snares growing everywhere.

I'd give that skill only to mercs, rogues, and scouts.
