 Post subject: Mode Stun and Auto Loot / Auto Gold

I tried to roll a character a few weeks ago who was going to refuse to kill regardless of the situation. However even before I got out of the newbie grounds I got pissed off and deleted him. The reason was, after each kill I had to "get coin xxx" at least 3 times (I couldn't get all.coin, because I wasn't sure they had that) and had next to no chance to get any equipment, because by the time I looked at them, figured out what I wanted to get, and typed get equipment xxx, the NPC was already back up and running.

What I am suggesting is that the auto commands that work on mode kill also work on mode stun. Several people have said "You can play so that you never have to kill a NPC" - Yet I dont think people have actually tried.

I am a more than able scripter, so dont think I didn't try that. It works alright for coins with a simple #trigger ^(stun message) {#loop 4 {get coin @killtarget}}
However this also fills my screen with useless spam and I shouldn't have to #gag 20 or so lines just to get 3g4s2c off a NPC.

Also - Triggers does not address the problem with Auto Loot. Triggering of a stun for loot is virtually impossiable because you would have:
1) look at the target
2) use some sort of inteligent program to determine which keyword will get a specific item
3) Assign the keyword to a string list
4) Get the items on a stun

Even if you were able to accomplish the second part - It is absolutly usless for getting any equipment the target is wearing. In addition, there is the entire area where "auto loot" gets stuff which they are carrying, but not wearing.

I am sorry if I seemed "cranky" in my previous post, but you basically treated me like an idiot, for no other reason that I can see as my forums name was created in the past two months and noone knows who "Zuwadza" is. This is quite intended because I don't want the hate and favortism that being a known player can bring. Salak will attest to this, I am sure.

To everyone else:
I know that stun only lasts so long, and I am able to do things quick enough if need be - My point is, however, that it should be automated like it is on kill with mode stun (or make it so it isn't automated on mode kill either) As for the comment about it apply for dealing with PCs - While I havn't been involved in PK for a long time, I dont beleive that Auto-gold and Auto-Loot work in PK - and thus this change would have no effect.

Zuwadza, I understand what you're getting at and triggers would have to be custom made for specific areas or NPCs for such a thing to work without hardcode and I'm against the hardcode.

If you're trying to play a lightie who doesn't want to kill people, I don't think what you want to accomplish would fit RP-wise. IMO, anyone who knocks somebody (Stop making me switch words, Someone :P) out and then proceeds to steal all the coin and possessions of the victim is evil, so you may as well kill them and get it over with. Especially considering they will hunt you down once you get higher levels.
