SK PWNS! There is nothing like a moment in SK where even your heart starts to race, just sitting behind the computer and bam, you have everyone in an uproar. Thank you imms for making this game what it is, even though I know there are rough times for some players such as myself, I love this game. Truley somthing worth investing thousands of hours into. Just this game is awesome and I thought I should let everyone know...

P.s. I had a little to drink and all i could think of was when I pissed off Exile....SK Rules!....sorry.

There are a lot of boring periods, and I {~*[-/HATE\-]*~} leveling, but I still play SK because there are moments like that. Loads of fun to create/get yourself into the situations that turn into those sort of moments. 8) Granted I usually end up getting myself killed.

Edit : Not too sure on the 'everyone in an uproar' part. Was thinking more the pulse racing part. Also, it can be a tad bit of a strange feeling when you actually stop and consider how much time you put into SK...

Yeah when trying to get a friend to play I just without a thought was like yeah I've got this one character and he rocks, i've worked so hard on him. And then came the how long question. Oh, well two years and a thousand or so hours. But I've got others with the same amount.

Yeah time flies.

I find (found?) the best time to invite a friend to try out SK was when I just ended my main character and started a new one.

Levelling together and explaining how things work as they happen ends up being a easy way of not forgetting anything - since you both have to complete similar goals at the lower levels.

That's what Gremlin did the second time I tried the MUD. The first time it didn't stick, but I've been here ever since we rolled characters at the same time.

Hmmm...Sk would be a very nice game if:

1. Too much ooc info wouldnt take place.( I know...sometimes it cannot be avoided but a try would help make things easier.)

2. There were equal chances for everyone to learn the game (hidden places, items, script items, quests, energy items and everything that will make your character better than your victim/target/opponent whtever). You can't expect to beat someone when you wear full tanso and he is fully charged(full energy-script items-everything). If someone says that the fully charged player spent 10 years to learn the game i answer that i was not born yesterday and someone told him what to do to find those areas. We can all imagine who. Budhha!

3. The game itself would stop making life hard for players. (Shops closed most of the time and generaly too much time wasted for not so serious reasons). There are many examples.

4. The punishment for cheaters would be more severe.

5. Everyone understand that we all play the same game in order to amuse ourselves and it's too bad that some people seem to amuse more than others cause they do not respect other players. (example: You re trying to rp inside an Inn with a few others, someone there sends on yim a message: hey man he is here along wityh a few others, gather up and come and slay him, i'll gate to you but do please tell me this info in game)
We can avoid this when we find those people doing that (easy to find out) and severly punishing them.

I like Sk, i have spent many hours on characters and rpk that i feel that i deserve to express my opinion which still is nothing more than a single opinion. Many may disagree with this but all i have to say is this little thing: The people that dont get any amusement from the game will leave and then they will remain the elite players which will have none to slay and none to rp with. So the players will become fewer and at the end they will lost every interest as we always use to read at the forums and afterlife posts. I write all these because i dont want this to happen. I care for a game that i have spent many hours logged in.
So do please have a serious thinking about all these. Have fun.

I think I'll answer this one, because while I sympathize and ideally agree, I see several issues with simply turning up the heat.

1. I completely agree. Abuse of OOC knowledge is a problem, but it doesn't really help when even good players who usually don't break the rules contribute to its spread. Noone is squeaky clean when it comes to this, but it would be good if everyone did a little soul searching and cleaned up shop.

2. Equal chance is what is aimed for, but a lot of old items and quests lack lore, and some hints in general. When you stumble across such an item or a place (or hear about it), let the staff know. I'm pretty sure I speak for us all when I say we'll make it a priority to put in enough IC clues to allow those without OOC hookups to solve whatever mystery is being targeted.
There *are* actually players that solve complicated quests ICly, and while you're probably right that a lot get the knowledge via questionable channels, I for one am not willing to base punishments simply on guesswork. If you have a suspicion, provide a log. We will track down whoever and ask them to verify how they learned XX or YY ICly.

3. List those examples to the relevant KD. It may simply be that they got the hours wrong. I know I mess them up on a regular basis.

4. Punishment for proven cheaters may need to be stepped up, but it's easy to request punishment and pretty difficult to administer it, unless we receive logs. I absolutely refuse to be a part of a new wave of "hardass administration" that is based on reputation, unproven claims and suspicions alone. If you watch someone cheat or have a suspicion that we may be able to track, provide the logs and let us know. But don't ask us to become a no-verification police. I would rather have a few baddies slip through the cracks than that. :/

5. Again, if you have a suspicion about people planning ganks over yim, let an Imm know (if you don't get an answer on pray, mail someone), and we will try to find out.
