These weapons are generally a standard Kama with a length of weighed chain on it.

These weapons are exotic types, but I have wondered why they do blunt damage and have no reach.

Thoughts?

I think it's just coding issues. Theoretically it should either be short range or long range, but at long range attack speed should drop by 1/3 and be blunt - or it should have the short range kama speed. I just think this variance isn't possible, or is troublesome to do right now.

We have proposed that Kusari-gamas should get reach time and time again. I am growing tired of this, it just doesn't make any sense at all that they do not reach. Either change their names/descriptions to something that would not reach, or make them so. Please!

They should be two handed if made reach though, I forgot to add that. Working a chained weapon one handed is...well I would say edxtremely difficult.

I thought they already were two handed. Could be wrong.

They were one handed at the original time of this post.

I would also like to state that Kama should be blunt damage and not slicing, that is according to Okinowan kenpo kata. The blades were used to slice nets, since the weapons original design is that of a small sickle the blade is slightly curved, if attempt to slash someone with it you are most likely going to slip it into them and get it stuck. They used the back of the blade, the handle acctually to strike with.

They look all pretty and cool in kata demonstrations but traditionaly they were not a slashing weapon.

Maybe some were, but not all of them. I've used kusari-gamas several times over the past year or so and never found a one handed one.
