I was just thinking that in my D&D campaigns, non-religious characters of an opposing religion destroying holy symbols or shrines, or swearing/cussing priests/paladins of a god without just provocation or the backs of a strong enough opposing deity, would get some sort of smite from the divine. Typically I enforce a penalty to stats, weight of which depending on the level of blasphemy, effective until the character repents. How would you feel about this in SK? I think it would make priests/paladins seem a bit more than priests/paladins. |

Although good in thought, the fear of abusing such a thing frightens me. I am pretty sure that if a snooping imm catches you he can act accordingly. |

Agreed. Erevan, this is not D&D where one GM has X number of players before him and is -allknowing-. Scripting this, giving such power to players etc, is a NO-NO. Sorry. |

It would be nice, though, if symbols were made unjunkable. |

Most IMMs are so worried about morons calling 'favoritism' on them that even if they did see this the most that would happen would be a curse. I believe that IMMs should be able to be just that. They should be able to manifest at will and dish out some hellish evil, or angelic benevolence. If they see their paladin in a fight about to die, they should be able to restore them, or if their champion hellion is about to be overcome by forces of light, that those candles of life should be snuffed out by a giant axe of flaming unholy death. More IMM interaction with mortals. Less bitching about favorites from the populace. As for symbols being unjunkable. No. |

I don't see how unjunkable symbols is a bad thing. In fact, it would create more rp, seeing as how people have the choice to leave it, or take it - which would promote someone coming after said symbol. If someone wants to inflate the amount of symbols, they can, and symbols will still go away if left unnattended in crashes reboots. By doing this, there is more of a prospect of faiths without active priests being able to retain their symbols. |

Although that would kinda make certain items down in the Chancel harder to obtain. |

I've never been zapped by the symbol of another's faith... |
