Good or bad idea:

For the 24 hours after receiving an enlightenment (as that's how long the timer lasts), you receive a 1.5x multiplier to any exp gained from combat (not quests, as this would be too easily abused).

Haha, I'd skip school/work to level after every enlightenment I got.

I like the idea, it's probably bad for my future though.

I could foresee that becoming a problem with seeking PARs out to force roleplay towards (which is really annoying for a PAR) and with people giving enlights to their buddies.

It's fun to watch people do stupid things to get enlights. As I see it, this would encourage PARs to enlight non-GM chars, due to the bonus. As always, nepotism would have to be watched, but that's the case as is.

It would be interesting to try out, but I think this would inspire more experienced people to seek out PARs and then go supergrind for a day. Why stop and roleplay at all when you have a day to use up your benefit? Which would in turn shaft the real newbs who are struggling to catch up in the horrible level system in place and find their roleplaying niche. Maybe extend the benefit to the enlightee's party as well, to maybe get the people who do get them to help out their fellow low levels? Hmm.

Enlights are fine. I don't see any reason to change the system at all. Any tinkering will pobably just make things abuseable. On the other hand, anything that promotes leveling within an acceptable time frame isn't a bad idea.

I could go either way on this idea, but I'm inclined to be against it because people will oocly abuse par worse then they already do.

I don't find it half bad an idea. And I want to believe that (at least most) PARs know how to distinguish some genuine RPer to someone who is monkeying and spamming emotes before them. :wink:

I like the idea behind it, but the implementation as stated is pretty silly: once you get an enlight you better not RP anymore because every second you aren't leveling you're just wasting multiplier time.

How about just double the XP you get from rewards?

here's the fix to this idea. Instead of what saladarin suggested, enlights would give one or two ticks off the bat, and then the character gets double exp for the next two-three ticks.

Fun?
