I want my gear to match. So, I'd like to be able to change the color of the short line an item displays when worn. I don't know what to call it exactly, but I mean the bolded part here:

Quote:
<worn on body> a set of black mithril mail (brand new)

Being able to change that one line into any single, sold foreground color would be perfect. I know an imm will do this if asked nicely, but I think it's worth making the ability more widely available, just to make the world prettier. This could be something any tailor or smith could do for a small fee.

Hehe, you know everyone has a different peice of everything at one point or another. Id like to second this idea. I find it very neat and maybe we would also be able to restring the descriptions.

If the price is right :P

My initial thought is that this would make a lot more sense for some material types than others.

Was there some ancient process by which metal was painted so well as not to flake off in short order? I mean, it seems like even automobile paint is a very recent invention, and scarcely holds up to being assailed by weapons as humble as keys, or the tips of umbrellas, for example.

Not that I'd know, of course.
