Just curious, when you mount your horse/camel/whatever do you gain any sort of bonus against an unmounted foe?

Nope. The only benefit really is that whomever you are fighting must now deal with one more creature.

There are also benefits to certain steeds. Some can bash, others trip. Some taunt. Some butcher. Some even fletch I think.

I know that sometimes if a character I'm currently on cannot bash or trip, I like to sit on top of a steed and have them do the job for me while we both attack the creature.

Wrong! There is a certain advantage, you can't be tripped. Also the disadvantage would be that you can't trip yourself or dirt kick.

I think if people always hide behind a horse, the horse should turn around and trample them to death, then run off, because they are the [REDACTED] grand master thats hiding behid a lowly horse

I know I have explained this before...
Some grandmasters have little brains, big muscles and much HP.

Some grandmasters have big brains, small muscles and the HP of a sprite girl. These types of grandmasters often use their big brains and hide behind horses. If they are especially smart and especially small, BIG strong horses with sanctuary on them. :P

This was changed several months ago. At least for the camels. I am unaware of any pets in the Wastes that are swashbucklers.
