Shouldn't bards have meditation?

I think they shouldn't have fast healing and should have meditation.

Bards are far too good as it is. Seriously, there need to be reasonable saves for bardic dancing and chords.

When last I brought this up Dulrik really didn't take much of a look at it.

I just find it kind of amazing that a class designed to be a half-ass mage/rogue combo turns out to be one of the most effective spellcasters in the game. I absolutely will not go near NPCs that are bards when I'm leveling.

I don't even see how meditation would fit into the bard skill set or class concept.

They don't really need it. Mana drain on a bard can be slowed down if the class is played right, and with some good fore-sight and preparation, you can minimize the time you spend regaining mana.

When I was playing my bards, I was a huge fan of 'heal energizer', or keeping a few other bards around. I used to run around with three other bards, so when one of us got low on mana, we'd recharge the other guy with a trio of songs of healing.

I hear there's a priest spell out there now that energizes mana capacity now, too.

..and there are always those fun mana battery items out there if you're lucky enough to find one. That's assuming they still exist of course.
