In case it's been forgotten, the bardic hero competition is going on today and tomorrow. The winner will be awarded the title of hero as well as the illustrious bard hero amulet. We just completed round 1, but it's not too late to enter and still win. Round 2 will be starting shortly. PS. I know there were more bards online this morning. I'm wondering if they just got scared or what? |

The answer is: no. This is the reward for winning the hero contest. It's a contest that only happens once a year, so the reward is hefty. I have no problem seeing a lower-level player end up winning a hero slot if they have the right roleplay and can win the contests. Consequently, I also won't let the first l33t PK'er they run into roll them over and take it. Have you been listening to my theme lately? You don't need to be a GM to play this game and the amulet policy supports that theme. Now if the hero wants to hand someone the amulet, they are certainly free to do that. Perhaps you should offer to buy it from them instead. It might require some RP though. |

No more lame tactics of people abusing the mentor system and lying with ooc tells that they are "new" to the game in order to gank the hero and take the amulet. No thanks. It's fine as it is. |

Or perhaps I will have a sorc charm them and have them remove it and give it to me and bypass your coded restrictions ;/. |

I don't know if that'll work. As soon as someone ordered me to remove the amulet I'd drop it and junk it. Unless there've been changes to charm it's pretty unlikely that you'll be able to do that to a PC. |
