Does anyone else find it a little bit ridiculous that NPCs can somehow track you many, many leagues away, flying, over the water?

Seriously, the hunt code needs to be changed before I think of new and exciting ways to lead NPCs that are hunting me through populated areas.

Well, if you do. You better make sure that no newbies are in the rooms that you are running through. Otherwise, you'll get smacked. It is understood, that you don't just run NPCs through towns.

The NPCs definitely chase too far. We blinded (with spells) a group of NPCs, it still chased us from Tlaxcala to Taslamar, during the course of the chase we were never caught up by them, so the chase distance didn't 'update'. At the end of that we had to quaff word of recalls.

Wait, I used to get away from hunting NPCs by blinding them. Did something change?

Sorry dude, best place to rest up is an inn. If I'm wounded and being chased by a NPC, you're damn right I'll pop off to an inn, and it's hardly my fault that the back room of exile, which heals as a normal inn room, is behind the main room where everyone sits to RP.

SKs says it's all about tactics as well as RP, but all I see is a wide range of tactics that people cry about (or tactics that are immediately coded out of the game upon discovery).

Jardek, I thought you were talking about where you collect a bunch of NPCs and bring them to town.

It may be the case that it is a group of NPCs chasing me.

Lord knows I can't predict the future! I suggest the code be changed fairly rapidly, before we all have unfortunate cause to find out :(

I think the NPC hunting code is a little absurd. It should be canceled when you cross area lines.

Also, NPCs shouldn't track you if they bounce off of your sanctuary or intimidate. That is very very annoying to have a stupid tiger or something bounce off of your sanctuary and track you over 3 kingdoms and 10 minutes later just to find you in a city.

QFT.

Whenever a NPC is taking damage and not able to return fire, they should be smart enough to get out of harms way instead of just taking it. As well as a NPC chasing you down after the actual "tracking" bits have worn off of a room.
