 Post subject: Ideas are dead, long live Ideas!

The help text for the IDEA command has been adjusted in-game to reflect the following change, namely that:

1. Ideas for areas and other room, object or mob-related issues for builder Immortals to look into should still be logged using the IDEA command;

2. Any ideas that related to code changes such as skillsets, classes, races, NPC AI or other functions, should NOT be logged with the IDEA command;

The latter type of idea entry should instead be logged into this Gameplay forum for discussion by players, immortals and Dulrik himself will respond. In the event that an idea needs to be made without public knowledge for some reason, you'll can email an immortal with your idea and convince them that it is worth submitting: this is not a shortcut of the process, only a method to allow for a more secretive idea to be implemented with an element of surprise to the playerbase, etc.

This change was decided with the following aims in mind:

A. Cull out repeated requests for the same idea, and provide an avenue for an explanation for why a given idea will or won't be implemented.

B. Reduce the load of entries that are assigned to Dulrik

C. Provide a mechanism for ideas to be fleshed out in full prior to final submission; i.e. collaborative brainstorming.

Given that code-related BUG and TYPO entries are Dulrik's sole domain at present, adding IDEA entries that may well duplicates that have already been denied bogs down the fixing process.
