Since the old thread is... old, people may or may not return to read it again. Also since Alshain suggested a poll and I didn't start the other thread, I'm starting this new thread for the poll. :drunk:

Scouts don't need to camo on the beach. Stop sneaking camo, too <-- that's a cruel option to be voting for.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to give up sneaking camo for being able to camo on the beach.

Can we get some insight as to why beach camo was taken away?

I seem to remember my scout of +4/5 years ago being able to camo on the beach.

Scouts could never camo on any beach, and there's no explanation as to why. I had a scout 4 years ago as well.

I remember scouts being able to camo pretty much anywhere if it was spammed long enough.

Whenever you tried to camo on a beach, you would receive (and still do) a "You can't do that here." message.

Even when you could camo in cities? That's really weird.

Give me a break. Surely Dulrik is not that much of a putz that he would only implement the beach camo at the expense of moving while camo.

Surely not. Right?

Fully two thirds of the votes that count are for camoing on the beach without the loss of sneaking camo. My vote didn't count. Having a military background, I can see how it's entirely possible to be well camo'd and still be able to sneak around. I understand it's possible with perfect conditions to camo on a beach, but to be honest I don't believe there are that many beaches that would allow a person to adequately camo. I've been to many beaches and well, you gotta be buried and have extra gear to accomplish the camo. This not only prevents movement, it also prevents any real condition of self-defense if found out.

I would say the current circumstances for beach/sneak isn't broken but I already put a 'don't count' vote in. But absolute realism aside, I don't see any harm in allowing the 2/3 vote to succeed.

I mean if we are going to be honest, if a scout can camo out in the desert then why could they not camo on the beach?
