I would like to talk to Big D about bash. As it stands, bash, when mastered, lands just about all the time. Especially in pk. Instead of using tactics (as I believe SK is all about), you're seeing giant barbarian and mercenary (and all the other mercenaries and barbarians!) who just run around with their incredible HP pools (in comparison to everyone else) and spam bash.

What I call for, is to have it tone down. Have it land 3/4 or 1/2 as much as it does now. So that these types of classes can have a bit more of a tactical appeal to them instead of a spam bash during pk...oh and the occasional rallying cry and berserk.

What do you think? Tactic > spam bash? Just Curious.

I think its easy enough for all classes to avoid bash. There is only once class I can think of that doesn't get bash that shouldn't be row 2 all the time, unless they are prepared to be front row.

There is no problem with bash. If bash gets tweaked at all, nobody is ever going to die, except for people affected by BoG. Taunt has already been made pretty much useless. I know my bash certainly doesn't land all the time.

Bash only forces people to depend on pets far more than they should.

The only fix that bash needs is that it needs to not set people into the resting position.

bash+cleave to the head = instant death

So much for tactics.

That actually does need to be changed...I just think the resting damage thing needs to be changed completely, but that's just me.

I think D is going to change the effects of being bashed. You won't be rested anymore but some other things will affect you. What they are, only D knows.

You won't be able to attack back when bashed. :o

Yes, let's make PK impossible. Let's just remove bash, trip, spirit horde, and taunt all together. That way if you don't get a one-hit kill, you're free to do as you wish!

The problem is with bash, theres no tactic to it. The only way to avoid it is to be on second row and hope you kill them or flee before they chew through your pet. Too many classes actually rely on pets imo, but that's another thread entirely.

As it stands now, most giants / other mercs can just bash bash bash bash etc and win. Where's the tactics in that? There are other ways to keep a person from fleeing other than bash. Trip, taunt, nimbus..I'm sure theres probably other ways.
