Why cant every stabbing/slashing weapon perform seppuku? Why do I have to go get this weapon? I demand every player be able to perform certain things like, seppuku, suicide, sacrifice with whatever they want!

Then a bard could come along and persuade you to do it to yourself I voted no.

Didnt think about that, but they can easily charm you and make you wear this weapon anyways. What if it was like delete? You cant force another character to delete by persuade or charm.

Delete is an OOC command, and as such is prohibited.

Why can't a bard through persuade, or a mage through charm, or a hellion through dominate, push you to do Ic things like wield XXX seppuku, or c 'acid blast' self or whatever? All of those are IC.

Emotes are there for a reason. Use them.

(Though if everyone is going to go around RPing suicide this is going to become a very horrible MUD very fast.)

I built a sword that's scripted for seppuku a while back.

Isn't there a stipulation in the files for those things that says they can't force you to do something that would be inherently and immediately fatalistic? (ie: persuade xxx go jump off a cliff) If not, they should imo.

Well I do think there should be jigai and seppuku commands, but only available with tantos and wakizashi's.
It should also be available to principled characters with a high (or low, actually, since imo you need to be really weak willed to kill yourself) will save.
