Some classes and races are just naturals at knowing where they are at. This would be an innate form of a sextant. Scouts and bards would be a natural fit for this skill. A couple of races could use it. I would actually say human, and helf because they are all around the realms w/o restriction. |

I think this would be a cool addition for scouts to have. Although even if they know roughly where they are, I don't see the RP sense in how they would know exactly where they are without a sextant. |

Not innate, like swim only id give this at Journeyman or vet level, thats about the time someone really gets in tune with "The world". |

Some of us already have that innate. Sadly we have spent far far to many hours on SK. Using both legend1 and legend2 I use to be able to tell where I was with nothing more than the 8 squares around me with about a 95% accuracy. Ive not played seriously in quite a few months so that has probably slipped quite a bit. I dont really see a point in hard coding this with out the sextant numbers. |

Legend 2 assumes that everyone plays in color, which I'm certain there are still some people who don't. I don't see why you'd object to it. YOU might know where you are, but that doesn't help newbie joe, now does it? |
