Syntax: rinse

Often in combat, one fighter will kick dirt into the eyes of another, inhibiting his accuracy and blinding him. While only time can give relief from dirt in the eyes while still fighting, once combat has ceased, the afflicted can seek to rinse his eyes clear again. This requires having a drinking container in one's inventory, or being in a room with a fountain or natural water source. A caution, however: if the liquid used to rinse is anything other than water, the effects can be quite painful, even blinding the victim worse than the dirt alone.

This is mainly a boon to levelers sick of being dirt kicked. It's one thing to be inconvenienced in battle, but having to wait after every fight to see again is a huge pain. And just about every leveling NPC and his brother can dirt kick, with ease. This would take away some of the sting, for the prepared at least.

Thoughts?

I like it!!! Especially after fighting one NPC, dirt lands, and you sit there for a minute+ emoting rubs eyes. Spits out dirt.. etc. It's time consuming.

Makes perfect sense although dirt kick doesn't last horribly long.

I don't like it because it is the first step before implementing something similar for pc dirt kicking (if this wouldn't work for pcs anyway). I remember preltor fighting frollith's necro and the wraiths with the old paralyze with the only hope of landing a fast dirt kick. My characters have won also various battles against large groups just because of one or two dirt kicks to the warlocks/priests. Dirt kick many times is the only tool for classes like swashbuckler/barbarian even merc against necros, sorcs with pet/charms, warlocks with elemental, etc etc. And I agree with Terrus that it doesn't last horribly long.

You can't rinse, unless you are out of combat.

I'd rather NPCs didn't spam dirt kick, to be honest.
