Giant strength shouldn't be able to be applied to those with max strength already. Can there be a check added to say something like,"You already have max strength!" or w/e?

I agree. That's fatigue for nothing.

It'd be useful if you're anticipating taking strength debuffs, such as weaken, chill touch, or poison. If you don't want GS from say, a stave, then leave the group momentarily, and if you don't have time to leave the group, be sad :(.

GS can bring aged giants up to 25, or those who haven't maxxed STR.

It is fine how it is.

Also, anyone using existing staves except for one for GS, they are moronic.

Perhaps Fepel you are forgetting that giant strength gives two buffs one is a +5 to max strength (capped at max for all stats) the other is a +X on strength based on level of caster. If you have mods you can make better use of a crappy staff. Unless the spell has been changed recently.

Why not let GS go above and beyond, so any char can get the bene, regardless of current str? Then giants can be strengthened and fatigued.

Otherwise, there really should be no fatigue attached to a GS that didn't actually increase str. Technically, casting GS on a max str giant is an automatic failure. Failing at strengthening someone means fatigue doesn't occur.

Why not everything?
Mods only max at the set maxes, spells go beyond?
