Has anyone ever mentioned the idea of saftey deposit boxes for small items. i.e. rings, spirit dolls, scrolls, potions?

I can see this maybe being abused with rings, and armor. But maby a low weight limit to it, and you have to pay every so often for it, and if you can't you will recieve a warning telling you your things are going to be disposed of. Just an idea.

There is already an issue with hoarding. This would just make it worse. People would stash items as often as they could.

I would be semi-okay with this if in order to open your box you needed a key you had to carry.

That way people can still destroy their spirit dolls when they gank you.

Still, this would have to remain to spirit dolls and potions that are not limited by availability (ie brewed by PC's)

I'm pretty sure it won't, as there's many other more pressing things to deal with, but if you follow the logic, a commonly used organization bank where a small number of potions/herbs can be placed for another member of the organization to take isn't something I'd necessarily be against.

They can use designated 'drop spots' for that, so that other players have the option of getting to them. Hoarding is bad enough as it is, there should be no coded 'help' for it.

The only way I can see it happening is if Master lvl rogues/bards (assuming human) can pick the locks. I still want to do a bank robbery!

Never, due to hoarding.
